Programs

RCS Programs offers many different types of community servises to help people in need.
At Reaching-Out, we believe it is important that clients receive services and support that meets their needs in a dignified way.

RCS Programs is certified with Dunn & Bradstreet so you can be confident in your support.

Here are some brief descriptions of the different types of services offered.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to create a caring atmosphere for the welfare of the Brooklyn communities we serve. Our intended outcome to assist the individuals and families who come to us achieve and maintain stability; and for those who can, to reach self-sufficiency.

Workshops

The workshops and classes will help individuals learn basic computer skills.
Nutritional classes will help teach individuals/parents how to prepare healthier meals. Call for dates of the coming classes.

Blood Pressure Screening

We offer this service as well as counseling about the dangers of high blood pressure.If the client has high blood pressure we refer him/her to health services which are free to the needy.

Tax Assistance

Free Tax Assistance Starting In February 2010 by Appointment
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) provides working families in the New York area with free tax preparation.

Tutoring

Summer Tutoring for Your Child

During the summer months we provide tutoring for children grades 2 through 8, three days a week, two hours per day. Focus is on improvement in math, reading and writing skills, preparing for New York State testing exams, establishing a better vocabulary, strong writing skills and more effective studying techniques. This program is designed for children that need undivided attention with a small class or one on one lessons.
