On behalf of Reaching-Out Community Services, we would like to thank you for participating in our “3rd Annual Walk Against Hunger” event on October 15, 2011.

Bay Ridge Boy Scout Nicholas Vassilakos from Troop 715 organized a School
Supplies community service project providing backpacks and many other school
supplies to over 225 children on Saturday, August 20th 2011 in front the
Reaching-Out community Services Food Pantry organization. It was a great
success and many children will be prepared for their learning experience for
the coming school year.

Special Thanks to the Girl Scouts # 2235 for conducting a very large Food Drive for our program on June 10/2011.

3rd Annual Dinner Gala

RCS would like to thank all those who supported and attended our 3^rd Annual Dinner Gala on April 28^th.   We successfully raised $20,000 to help feed those in need.  As we continue to offer relief to over 3,800 families that depend on our program through the efforts of supplying food and other social services which we provide, we encourage those who are financially able to please graciously continue to support this cause in the months that follow. 

In the last four months, hundreds of people have depended on us for help in their time of need. The challenge of making ends meet for many seems to be impossible and as a result they are finding themselves on a food pantry line hoping for food to feed their families. 

It will only be by God's grace that we will be able to continue the services we provide before the lack of support and funds bring us to a halting stop. This past fundraiser dinner gala will help us get over the hurdle for a couple of months in helping with the programs expenses.  After exhausting these funds, unfortunately we will be facing unchartered waters. 

Our next upcoming event will be our 3^rd Annual Walk For Hunger on September 24, 2011. 

Thanks to everyone who helped make this very special event possible. 
We thank you for your donations of both money and toys.
