Reaching Out Community Services Inc. has been a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to the distribution of food and other basic items to needy families and individuals in the Brooklyn area since 1992.  The organization also provides much needed social services to families in our communities who have no where else to turn.  We help people with free blood pressure screening, free tax preparation, workshops and classes to improve existing skills or learn new ones, summer tutoring for children and help in understanding the many social programs available to them.

We are dedicated to fighting poverty and hunger in any way we can.  Our organization is primarily comprised of dedicated volunteers who selflessly give their time and resources to keep our programs alive.

Through the support and generous sponsorship from caring individuals, we are able to provide vital services to the less fortunate people in the borough of Brooklyn.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS SMILES

This spectacular Christmas party is design to put a smile on every child’s face that is less fortunate due to low income status. Each child will meet Santa and receive toys along with enjoying other activity such as, Face Painting, Puppet Show, Magic Show, Children’s Choir, Refreshments & More.

This event each year has been very successful and had lightened up the holiday mood in an economic downturn.   The holidays are a time of uncertainty and hopelessness for many parents. Your donation will enable a child to attend this wonderful time of joy and fun. 

Your donation of $20.00 will help send a child to this event. 1 child $20.00   2-children $40.00   3- children $60.00    etc…

The Gift of Giving Partnership

As you know the RCS Food Pantry Program helps over 4,000 registered low-income individuals and families receive food in the five boroughs of New York.  In order for us to continue our fight against hunger we need committed recurring monthly sponsors.

We are launching a campaign to plead with those of you who can help us meet the demands of our program expenses.  This campaign will make us or break us. Many people wish to help those in other countries with hunger, but we have a hunger problem right here in our own backyard.

Please, find it in your heart to help us continue to help those who are hungry because being hungry is frightening, and it makes us very scared as well!
